Umi is exclusively a children's footwear company. The Umi founders and product development team bring over 80 years of combined experience to the Umi footwear brand, including work with well-known upscale retailers and European footwear brands. All Umi products are developed according to the unique needs of the growing child's foot and are manufactured of the finest materials and to the highest standards.

Umi understands and embraces the notion that style helps instill the self-assurance to smile bigger, laugh louder, and walk taller and it's evident in the shoes they create. From their unique, quality materials to their whimsical and quirky color combinations, they create style that fulfills their core purpose: "make children, and their feet, and their moms happy".

Umi looks at each season as a unique opportunity to take Umi style to a whole new level - including introduction of new outsole treatments, embellishments, and of course their signature use of specialty materials such as iridescent, printed and pebbled leathers.

But style isn't the whole story. Umi was founded on the principle that style loves comfort; therefore great looking shoes, fit and comfort do not have to be mutually exclusive. As a result, Umi shoes are handcrafted with one goal in mind: to promote healthy development of children's feet. Features such as cushy comfort insoles, flexible outsoles and breathable materials are just a few of the Umi product attributes that keep children's feet healthy, happy, and moving in the right direction.

They like the earth to be happy, too. That's why they follow strict European manufacturing standards and use recycled and recyclable, eco-friendly packaging.
