The company GEOX was founded in 1995 by Mario Polegato, who believed in the concept of "breathing shoes". While jogging one hot day, he decided to cut holes into the outsole of his shoes to cool his feet. After he shopped the concept around and received little interest, Mario formed Geox in the early 1990s on his own belief in his idea and product. The Geox Group now operates in the footwear industry in 68 countries, carrying out its own mission - namely "To convert people into consumers of breathing products". Geox offers this system in every one of their stylish, high-quality kids shoes. The company offers a large selection of Geox boys shoes and Geox girls shoes for children of all ages.

The "Geox breathes" system, also known as "Geox Respira", consists of a membrane that absorbs sweat from the insole and expels it as water vapor through micro-holes in the outsole. The micro-holes are larger than water vapor, but smaller than water droplets, so water only goes out and never comes in. With Geox, feet are kept dry and at the right temperature. The Geox patented breathable technology of combining a perforated rubber sole and the breathable waterproof membrane, allows foot perspiration to go out through the sole thus keeping your feet dry and healthy. This gradual elimination of humidity from the inside of the shoe creates the ideal microclimate for healthy feet. The Geox breathes system allows your child to benefit from the comfort of the rubber sole without the discomfort of overheating, dampness, and the bad odor that typically comes along with it. Your children's feet will stay warm and dry in the winter months and cool and dry during the summer season.
